I Tried All Bacterial Vaginosis Home Remedies That Didn't Give Relief
Bacterial vaginosis is an inflammation of the genitourinary tract (GIT) of women. The infection is characterized by a thick, white, fishy smelling discharge from vagina. B.V. is caused due to growth of a set of bacteria leading to pH imbalance in the affected area.
There are Many Bacterial Vaginosis Home Remedies But Only One Cured Me. from Gerd Petersen on Vimeo.
This is followed by redness, swelling, pain and burning sensation to the infected woman. Bacterial vaginosis home remedies include a variety of substances, like for instance, cold water, yogurt and tea just to mention a few. B.V. is easily curable via home remedies and some precautionary measures involving personal hygiene.
Home remedies prove significant in dealing with the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis. Below I have listed nine home remedies that have proven to give bacterial vaginosis relief.
1 Cold Water
A cloth soaked in cold water can be laid across the affected area to obtain relief from redness and swelling due to constriction of blood vessels. This is the simplest home remedy for getting rid of pain and burning sensation.
2 Yogurt
Cotton plugs soaked in yogurt can either be inserted in vagina or yogurt directly applied over the affected area. Treatment with yogurt has been clinically investigated and found to be beneficial in long run.
3 Neem Powder
Powder of neem has excellent antibacterial properties and is always advised in case of dermatological problems. Using neem powder can alleviate bacteria from the vaginal area.
4 Tea
Take a tea bag, soak it in plain water and let it cool for a while in refrigerator. Then you can apply the bag externally to relieve itching.
5 Turmeric
Turmeric powder is anti fungal. Dissolve it in milk and take it until the symptoms subside.
6 Garlic
Take 1-capsules of garlic per day or apply it directly at vagina. Wrap a peeled garlic clove in gauze and try to insert it in vagina. Repeat the treatment after an interval of 3-4 hours. This will help reducing the infection.
7 Vegetable Juice
Vegetable juice containing green vegetables, ginger, parsley and garlic also has beneficial effect over the pain and itching during conditions of Bacterial vaginitis.
8 Cedar Oil
Taking baths in hot water, with a spoon of salt and few drops of cedar oil in it. Cedar oil helps a lot to reduce itching.
9 Dry Tracheal Leaves
Tracheal is a natural herb and helps remove toxins out of body. Put a teaspoonful of tracheal dry leaves in a cup of hot water and make a tea of it. To protect yourself against B.V. or avoid severe symptoms you should practice clean toilet hygiene, wash your underwear neatly and take warm baths.
For preventive purposes or for avoiding severe B.V. symptoms you should carefully cleanse your underwear, practice clean toilet hygiene as well as taking warm baths often. Items for daily use, such as pillows, bed sheets, towels and the like should me washed separately. The best way to prevent these awful vaginal bacteria is probably to eat yogurt regularly.

What are the causes, Symptoms and Treatment of Trichomonas Infection?
Trichomonas vaginitis is a protozoan or one-celled parasite that can reside in the vagina, the cervix, or in the male's lower genital tract. If you study it under a microscope, the protozoan appears like a cell shaped as a teardrop with a tail. Women suffering from trichomonas usually have accompanying discharge or irritation.
Sometimes the cervix may become inflamed, causing bleeding after intercourse or at the time a Pap smear is taken. In exceptional cases, discomfort with urination will occur. In most cases bacterial vaginosis coexists with this infection, since the Trichomonas protozoan is creating an alkaline pH in the vagina that encourages the growth of the "bad" bacteria.
In such cases, the woman may also notice a fishy odor, especially after sexual intercourse. Fortunately, Trichomonas has no significant medical risks. It doesn't go up into the uterus or fallopian tubes or any other part of the body. It is nothing but an uncomfortable annoyance which can be bad enough indeed.
Trichomonas Vaginitis Symptoms
Around half of all women with Trichomonas present no symptoms and may go undiagnosed for years, even if they have been followed up with regular annual examinations. Condoms are mandatory if you want protection against this organism.
Trichomonas Causes
Trichomonas, aka "trich" (pronounced "trick"), is a sexually transmitted condition. If you know for sure that your relationship is monogamous and have come down with Trichomonas, you may be wondering which implications you can expect. Although Trichomonas can live in the male genital tract, it cannot survive for more than a few days or weeks at most.
But in the vagina it can live for years, and has even been found in elderly women who have not had intercourse for decades. As a matter of fact you may have contracted the condition from a previous partner without knowing it. Nevertheless, it's mandatory that you have an open, honest dialog with your current partner, as it may even be possible that he passed on the infection to you if he was sexually involved with someone else.
Treatment Options for Trich
In most cases trichomonas is treated with an anti-protozoan antibiotic. Metronidazole, aka Flagyl, is known to be the most effective treatment and can be taken orally. In most cases a one-time dose is all you need.
To prevent passing the infection back and forth, sexual partners of women with trich should be treated simultaneously. In exceptional cases, trichomonas vaginitis may resist the ordinary doses of metronidazole. Therefore higher doses are recommended.

What Makes Bacterial Vaginosis and Yeast Infection Different From Each Other?
The best way to show the difference between bacterial vaginosis and yeast infection is by the type of vaginal discharge they produce. The vaginal discharge in a yeast infection is usually thick, white and odorless. With bacterial vaginosis, the discharge is milky, thin, white or gray, and usually has an unpleasant fishy odor.
In a normal state the vagina contains an abundance of protective bacteria called lactobacilli. After these "good" bacteria have been wiped out, there's an overgrowth of potentially harmful or "bad" bacteria that cause bacterial vaginosis. Yeast infections are caused by a fungus called candida albicans.

When this becomes unbalanced in the vagina and intestinal tract, the candida will multiply quickly. The reason for this unbalance may be bad diets and antibiotics.
Research has shown that many women are misinterpreting their symptoms. What most women assume is a yeast infection, is actually bacterial vaginosis (abbreviated BV). In a recent survey, 44 percent of women whom physicians diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis had initially treated themselves for a yeast infection.
Because these two kinds of vaginal infections have different causes, they also have different treatments. Be aware all vaginal symptoms, and check with your doctor if you have any doubt between the two conditions. The differences one more time:
- BV has an unpleasant fishy odor; yeast infection has no odor at all.
- BV has a white or gray thin milky discharge; yeast infection has a discharge that is white and think.
- Up to half of women with BV are affected with itching or irritation while almost any woman with yeast infection has itching or irritation.
- The cause of BV is bacteria whilst the cause of yeast infection is yeast.
If you suffer from B.V and not Yeast Infection keep reading; I have good news. The good news is that it's fully possible to live everyday of your life living without nasty discharges or feeling uncomfortable because you smell bad. It doesn't have to be this way anymore.
And of course you will get this entire break through information through someone who's been there. The woman behind this cure has cracked the code of getting rid of BV. Her cure not only works fast but it has given a lot of women permanently bacterial vaginosis relief.

Vaginitis is a disorder in women's vaginal area associated with irritation and/or inflammation of the vagina. Vaginitis is a very common condition affecting millions of women each year. There are three main types of vaginal infections:
- candida vaginitis (yeast infection)
- trichomonas vaginitis ("trich")
- bacterial vaginosis (BV).

Yeast Infection is also called candidiasis. This type of vaginitis is caused by a fungus and is the second most common type of the disorder.
Protozoan is a type of infection that is also known as trichomoniasis and it is considered a sexually transmitted disease (STD). This type is the least common and comprises 3% to 5% of all vaginitis infections.
The bacterial type of infection is caused when healthy vaginal organisms are replaced by bacteria. It is considered to be the most common type of vaginitis.
Possible Symptoms of Vaginitis
Infections in vagina may cause a variety of symptoms, such as fishy odor, irritation, abnormal or increased discharge, painful urination, vaginal bleeding and itching, Women suffering from this condition, may have one or more of the symptoms mentioned above. If you suspect you have this condition, you should discuss it with your physician so that you can be tested.
Causes of Vaginitis
Vaginitis has more than one cause. Common vaginitis causes are;
- fungal infection,
- protozoan infection,
- bacterial infections,
- contact dermatitis,
- allergic reactions
Millions of women are suffering from vaginitis and this condition alone is a main reason why women visit their physician.
How to Treat Vaginitis
There are some treatment options available for curing vaginitis or giving bacterial vaginosis relief, but which treatment your physician will go for will depend on the cause of the infection:
- Trichomonas infection is commonly treated with a prescribed oral antibiotic.
- Yeast infections are treated orally or intra-vaginally with either prescription or over-the-counter antifungal medications.
- BV infections are in most cases treated orally or intra-vaginally with prescribed medication.
Vaginitis Prevention
- Keep good hygiene by keeping the vaginal area clean using a mild soap and dry the vaginal area well.
- You should avoid douching as well as irritating agents like harsh soaps and feminine hygiene sprays. When using douches you run the risk of disrupting the normal balance of vaginal organisms and should be avoided.
- You should also avoid spreading bacteria from the rectum to the vagina by wiping front to back after going to the bathroom.
- You should practice abstinence or safe sex and avoid multiple sex partners. Latex condoms, when used right and consistently, can reduce the risk of transmission of STDs.
- Avoid clothing that can trap moisture, such as panty hose without a cotton crotch, tight jeans etc.

A Bacterial Vaginosis Cure That Can Get Rid Of BV Permanently - Does It Really Excist?
BV or Bacterial Vaginosis is the most common cause of vaginal discharge. In fact, this condition is an overgrowth of the bad bacteria that is normally found in the vagina. In a healthy vagina, there is a balance of good and the bad bacteria. With Bacterial Vaginosis, the bacteria flourish while the good bacteria are lessened or gone.
I Cured My Bacterial Vaginosis Permanently

In most cases BV is found in women who are sexually active.
The main symptoms of BV are;
- a musky vaginal odor,
- a thin gray or white discharge from vagina
- Irritation and itching in the vaginal area.
Sometimes BV heals spontaneous but if you suspect you are suffering from BV, don't hesitate to visit your doctor because this infection can cause more severe conditions, for instance pelvic inflammatory disease.
Your physician will be able to determine if you have Bacterial Vaginosis by performing a physical examination which entails testing a swab that contains a sample of vaginal discharge. For pregnant women bacterial vaginosis treatment is especially important because the infection can cause premature delivery or low birth weight for the baby. For some pregnant women who have previously had a baby born prematurely, experts often recommend that they be tested and, if necessary, treated for bacterial vaginosis relief.
Every year, more than 800,000 pregnant women are infected with Bacterial Vaginosis in America.
If you have BV, your doctor may prescribe Metronidazole or Flagyl for you. While you're taking Metronidazole, it is important to avoid alcohol, even in small amounts because it can cause nausea and vomiting. Because Metronidazole may interact with other medications so make sure you tell your physician about all the medications you are taking, whether prescribed or not.
Metronidazole is sold as a vaginal gel or in oral form. The oral form of this medication is 500 mg and the recommended dosage is twice daily for seven days. The gel is supposed to be used once daily for seven days or twice daily for five days.
A lactobacillus vaginal suppository treatment is another option for BV. Lactobacillus is the name of the good bacteria that normally resides in the vagina. Studies so far have not been clear as to whether it actually is giving bacterial vaginosis relief or not. Clindamycin is sometimes prescribed as a cure for BV.
During the process of curing bacterial vaginosis, it is strongly recommended that you avoid sexual intercourse or at least reducing the numbers of sexual partners until the infection is gone. It is also recommended that you avoid douching. Make sure that you use all of the medication your physician has prescribed; don't stop before the cure is over even if you think your infection is healed.
